How To Disable Or Uninstall Samsung News & Samsung Internet

These two apps, especially Samsung Internet have been suddenly very intrusive and constantly pop up now in the last month! How do I get rid of both apps or at least disable them. This is ridiculous - extremely annoying and SPAM!

Hold down on each of their icons and Push "Disable" Hope this helps!

There are ways to remove them. Check XDA but be warned it can cause issues with updates.

I do not see intrusive behavior from either of these apps. I am assuming you have set another browser as default. I have, and do not get any pop-UPS from Samsung Internet. My guess is that some other app you installed is triggering a pop-up and for some reason using Samsung Internet to deliver it. What is the content of the pop-up you are seeing?

@nanlan To turn off Samsung News:

1. Long press on a blank spot on your home screen.
2. Swipe right until you see the Samsung News screen.
3. Flip the switch on the top right to disable Samsung News. 

If you are seeing pop ups from Samsung Internet, you have downloaded either directly or inadvertently some nefarious app. One thing that you can easily check:

1. Open Samsung Internet
2. Click the hamburger menu in lower right
3. Click on Privacy
4. Scroll down and click on Block apps from opening internet
5. If you notice an unknown app in the list or an app which should not be opening the browser, disable it or delete it.
