Since my new phone update (on galaxy s23) last week my gallery photo editor has changed. The Remaster option and the add portrait effect option have both disappeared. The magic wand for auto fix has also been removed. No background blur. I can't find them anywhere.

These were some of the best features.

Are they gone or have they been moved?

Very disappointed.

I did send an error report but they want me to give customer service a call. I may try that on Monday.

@Danyelle75 They certainly have shaken things up in the Gallery. Here are the new locations of the things that you mentioned above:

  • Remaster - Click on a photo in Gallery. Swipe up on the photo. You will see Remaster appear near the bottom edge of the photo.
  • Portrait effect - Click on a photo in Gallery. Swipe up on the photo. You will see Portrait effect appear near the bottom edge of the photo.
  • The magic wand/auto correct - Click on a photo in the Gallery. Click the pencil icon to open the editor. Click the center bottom icon which looks like 3 overlapping circles.  The 2nd option is Auto which will do the auto correct on the photo.

I hope that this helps.

You can swipe up or tap "i" with circle to get "Remaster" and "Portrait effect" (if applicable) option.

When you are in photo editor, tap 4 small circle (first icon) >> face effects >> background blur. Auto fix/edit is in the fourth icon.

Thank you! I will check it out. Not sure why they felt the need to make these even harder to find.
