This is my first time being in Android World after 10 years of using Apple. I got the s23 Ultra. While i'm learning inside and out of this beautiful machine, along learning how Android OS work, i noticed there are a lot of bloatware in it. I was told to get a Pixel instead since it's pure android and less to none bloatware. Especially if i am going into Information Technology field (mainly cybersecurity).

On top of that, i noticed Samsung wanted me to connect my files, photos and etc with OneDrive instead of Google Drive. I read an article and learned there are drama going on between Samsung and Google, so Samsung want to rely less on Google and pulled Microsoft in. Geez, that was my first bad impression. They need to straighten out their drama first and stop pulling Microsoft into it, lol.

Anyway, any recommendation?

Samsung pushes Microsoft integration because it is trying to complete with iPhone integration with Mac's. Samsung is trying to offer an alternative to the Apple Ecosystem where you can use your smartphone and files are synced to your Mac. What other major alternative to Mac's is there but Microsoft.

Of course you don't have to use Onedrive and can use Google Drive, Google One instead as I do. It works very similar to a Pixel.

Also Samsung has implemented call screening which used to be a Google exclusive feature.

So have no fear Apple user. Samsung is simply trying to offer what it thinks most of it's users want. That's all. No Microsoft conspiracy. If you go into Apps and find Onedrive you can disable it. Then the back up choice will default to Google.

I'm glad u posted this I was wondering what it was all about. I was trying to figure out why they pulled Microsoft into it. I checked out Microsoft and what it has to offer I wasn't impressed and I'm on the hunt for another way to secure my back up

I've been using Amazon photos but really I just put this thong on my phone and it tracks apps within apps and blocks them. Amazon photos had quite a lot

Two of your articles published in 2022. But the other 2 are recently this year. Either way i will definitely read it. Thank you for sharing!

But, i do wonder, how come Samsung continually pushing me to use OneDrive instead of other cloud services?

I'm still learning this whole new android OS and am not used to see many options in my face. Most important of all, i dont want to snyc anything to any backup just yet.Screenshot_20230315_145217_Samsung Cloud.jpg
