Messenger calls ring through while on a phone call

Im in a regular phone call and someone called me through fb Messenger and the messenger rang into my ear and the other party could hear it too. How do i stop getting ringtones from Facebook messenger while im on a regular phone call without disabling Facebook messenger call notifications all together?

You could probably accomplish this through a Routine, e.g. "During call," Set to vibrate.

Assuming you're using Samsung's phone app: In the phone app, tap the three-dots menu in the upper right corner.

Tap Settings. Tap Call alerts and ringtones. Toggle off Allow alarm/notification sounds in calls.

I gave this one a go as mine was turned on but it did not resolve after turning it off, However, the method verbumveritum suggested worked. 😁 Thank you for the suggestion.
