Galaxy S23- Hi,
- I have a galaxy s23 which is verizon carrier locked but I don't know how I'm able to use Indian sim cards on my device now the main problem is I bought the phone from a third party seller due to which I was unaware of that tha device is a US model and being a carrier locked device I'm unable to receive updates in my phone. Can any one suggest a solution that may help me!. Tried contacting Verizon but got nothing there's no way one can connect then outside US.

Galaxy S23Let me see if I'm understanding this right. You have a phone you say is carrier locked to Verizon, US, but you are using a Indian sim card in it is that correct? If that is the case the phone is not carrier locked to Verizon or your sim would not work. Was this phone bought in the US? Are you using this phone in India? The issue I believe you are having with updates stems from the fact the phones firmware is US based and will not accept the updates from India

Galaxy S23Yes, you got it right. I tried to chat vi samsung global care so they told me the phone is carrier locked but idk how I'm able to use Indian sim. I bought this phone from Indian! Or you and say shopkeeper tricked me.

Galaxy S23The only plan of action I can see as working for you is to take the phone back to where you purchased it and see about getting a refund on it, as it will not update US firmware in India.
