These are the worst preorder trade-in deals ever. How dare Samsung try forcing us to sign contracts for 36 months with carriers to get the best deals. Gen Mill and Gen Z hate contracts. People need to boycott till they drop the prices for unlocked trade. For the previous s22 and fold and flip 4 models. CLEARLY SOME PEOPLE ARE BRAINWASHED STILL GETTING THEM. Sadly looking for clout as well. How pathetic.

I love that the trade in value for the S22U is $700 for the Fold4. On the exact phone that replaces it, $500. I also noticed last night that on the app before you "pre-order" it, it tells you "from $599.99." Go to put it in cart, jumps to $699.99 for no reason. I've pre-ordered almost every year since the S3, minus a few flops. But this year, I'll wait. Since last year I got burned and could have got my S22U cheaper had I waited.

Am I misremembering or did they allow you to offer multiple devices for trade-in (w/the initial S22 pre-order, at least)? Was pretty sure it allowed to offer a phone and a tablet if you wanted to - I had a Galaxy Tab S3 I wanted to add with my Galaxy Note 10+ but couldn't find where I'd stashed it.

That aside: yes the valuations are nuts this yr. Had my S23 pre-order ready to submit but just couldn't go through with it.

Scary to think people still think carrier contracts being forced on them like it is a good thing. One person was like it is only 24 months.... First off no it is 36 months and second ummmm are you okay. Like do i need to call someone for you. That is literally saying please force me to pay a company and be stuck with a device for 2+ years. Insanity.

I upgraded every 4-5 years. I made the mistake of upgrading my old s10e phone to the Flip4 when they had the really good deals even without trade in. I saw the flip3 trade in value to flip4 was only a $100 difference. I made the switch thinking that if I hate the flip 4, I can always upgraded next year without paying too much. Well jokes on me, the new hinge design end up causing me to fix my phone screen twice (hinge and screen issues) since August, need insurance, and constant fear of any random mishap will render me phoneless for at least 2 days to 2 weeks even.

Anyway, I never had to replace a screen ever in my life before this oo ever need insurance. I would love to be able to trade on my Flip 4 for the S22 base model before the s23 launch but Samsung didn't let me/not an option on the site. Now, my $1k+ msrp phone that is a few weeks away from being 6 month is only worth $350 trade in? I feel like I was given a lemon experience by Samsung and their stupid Samsung care (another paragraph worth of rant) dealing with this stupid phone.

I couldn't believe the trade in values. Such a disappointment. I'll check back in a couple months like last year and hopefully trade in values will be up again. That's the only way I'm jumping from the 22 ultra.

I absolutely agree, I hope the wireless carriers will cover their losses in sales.

I try to order the new galaxy s23 ultra to upgrade from my s22ultra and when I click to buy three separate times it didn't do anything ...now today I can't get the same deal ...what a ripped off
