Update 6.1 made touchscreen unusable without S Pen

After the update my touch screen will not work unless I use the Spen. Samsung made a comment blaming it on Google?? But I've heard from other people it's been an issue for a couple of years so I'm curious on when they plan to fix it because this is ridiculous, I have some apps where I can only log in with my fingerprint.

Can u hold the power button and volume down button at the same time. It will take u to a reboot screen. Stroll down to where u c clear cashe. And than restart it phone. C if that works...

I never see an option to stroll down to clear cashe... ..it just restarts the phone

Hold them both for 10 seconds

I did reboot, then hit power button + volume up button> clear cache> particion and touchscreen still does not work

And did a factory reset after backing up data yesterday
