Always on Display "erase background" option on my AOD settings is greyed out

Does anyone know why the "erase background" option on my AOD settings is greyed out? I am having quite a lot of issues on AOD on my new S24 Ultra that I never experienced on my S22U. This is frustrating

If you are using the new photo ambient labs feature for your lock screen wallpaper, it doesn't currently work with that enabled.
