Speakers lack bass compared to my s23ultra. I'd expect every aspect of a new phone to be better, if not the same as the previous generation. The s23ultra speakers sound fuller and much more balanced than the tinny sound coming out of the s24ultra. Maybe calibrate the speakers better?

I've had my posts deleted twice regarding this on the Samsung Members app. There is something really wrong/miscalibrated with these speakers. In direct comparison to my S23 Ultra, they sound much lower, tinny, and downright unusable. I have a third party equalizer app that I've used for YEARS with Samsung devices and on the S24 Ultra, it basically amplifies the same garbled, tinny sound from the speakers, just louder. It's almost like there's a software issue regarding the speaker, I'd be hard pressed into thinking it was hardware this early in the game of testing.  Samsung really needs to update either the speaker driver or update the speaker calibration to at least mirror was it was on the S23 Ultra because it doesn't sound good right now

I agree s24 ultra speakers suck. S22 ultra was much louder. Im not to thrilled about the 24 ultra so far.

Mine sounded like **bleep** when I first tried to listen to music. Very very distorted. I listened to the same song on the S23U at the same time as the S24U and the 23U sounded *so* much better. Sounded fine on the 24U with Atmos turned off, but without the Atmos it still didn't sound as good as the 23, but it would have been fine.

Changed Atmos from "Music" to "auto" and it suddenly sounded to much better on the S24U. And much louder. Weird because the 23U is also set to "music" and it sounds fine that way on it. And "Auto" and "music" sound identical on the S23U.

Tuning/software bug, similar to the display vibrancy bug?

Yeah, definitely not a hardware issue.  I tried listening to music on my buds.  Same result.  Sounds terrible with Atmos set to music, sounds perfect when set to auto.  Sounds fine when set to movie and voice as well.  Sounds ok with Atmos turned off.  And also tried my soundbar, which is a surround system with Atmos speakers.  Exact same result again.

Just tried a movie using VLC.  That sounds terrible with movie mode enabled.  Sound's fine with Auto, music and voice.  Something wrong with Atmos it seems.

I have same issue. My phone notifications sound very muffled. I immediately recognized it sounded different than my S21 Ultra. I said to my husband why does it sound like that. I checked all settings and they are set exactly the same as previous phone and have tried all the suggestions I have found on here. I think it's something to do with the lower speaker. I also have the screen issue. Very noticeable when you have the S21U side by side to the S24U with same settings and same background.

Exactly. I also switched from my S21 Ultra and this S24 Ultra is absolute dog chit compared to my 21. The screen color, the speaker when listening to music, and ESPECIALLY the speaker when on speaker phone. I hope to god this is just a software issue and not a hardware issue due to the new speaker design. If the next software update doesn't fix these problems I will definitely be returning this phone. I can't believe Samsung released this phone THIS unfinished. I don't think they did 1 single test of the basic functions of this phone before releasing.

It sounds like they did something in the software where it feels like they mapped the sound that's supposed to come out of the top speakers to the bottom speaker and vice versa for the bottom speaker sound coming out of the top speaker. They need to fix this ASAP

*BEST SETTING FOR FULLER SOUND
Long press Dolby Atmos and select audio to "music". It's the closet sound to s23u

For a while on S23 Ultra I was experiencing low audio like YouTube, etc. It eventually got fixed either by update or on its own. Now I have the same problem with S24 Ultra. Anyone else?
