I understand how frustrating this is. If you have verified the software is up to date and tried doing a factory reset, https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00084702/, and the issue continues, the watch will need to be serviced. I don't know but I just got my galaxy watch 4 on the 2nd and when I try to make a call on the watch it will go through once it will say the watch is overheating and drop the call and shut off. Then when it cools down I can't make calls anymore. I think it's a problem with the bigger battery in the bigger watch I have not heard of any problems with the smaller watch. I don't know I'm going to send it back as defective and have them send me a new one

Thank you for reaching out. I can certainly understand how frustrating overheating on any device can be and would be happy to assist you further. Can I please have your full model number, baseband number, Bluetooth or LTE, the device your watch is paired with, and the Android version on the phone?
