My Galaxy Watch (R-800) has been working fine, with good battery life. I needed to move it to a new phone, which required a reset of the watch. During the reset process the watch displayed an overheating message and went into cooldown mode. I finished connecting the watch to the new phone but now the battery will not hold a charge (fully drained within a few hours). I tried resetting the watch again (same overheating warning) and leaving it disconnected from the phone, but the drain still happens.

Anything I should try before replacing the battery?

I understand how frustrating this is. Thank you for reaching out and providing the troubleshooting steps you have already tried. There are a few settings you can check to see if they improve the battery in this article. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01003232 If these do not help, then it would be recommended to have the watch serviced.
