As the subject and location suggests, my watch during the middle of a workout has started repeatedly pausing the workout and saying "Seems like you've stopped. Finish workout?" And it does not matter how much I'm moving, how high my heart rate is, or how many times I tell it to resume. The watch did not do this last month and it does not matter what workout I'm doing. Whether I'm walking, running, lifting weights, rowing, doing a dynamic workout, about every 20 seconds to 2 minutes this notification pops up.

I've done everything I can from restarting the watch, resetting the watch, checking for updates, going into each exercise choice and turning off "Auto Pause", going into the settings and turning off "Activities to detect" on both the phone Samsung Health app and in the watch. I've even called Samsung tech support and the man I talked to was saying that it must be an app causing it but i've turned off all app notifications except messaging apps.

The only thing I can think that might be going on is I cannot change "Auto detect workouts" in the Advanced option of the Samsung Health app settings.

I need help.

I love how it says it's resolved but it most certainly has not been resolved. Still happening while actively working out. Tgis is a software issue that Samsung refuses to acknowledge. This renders these expensive "fitness watches" worthless if they can't in fact track our fitness properly. Total piece of junk.

I found a solution.

BUY A GARMIN WATCH !

After months of frustration i have decided to ditch my Samsung watch and switch to garmin.

Today after one hour of swimming I got out of the water and only have 7 mins of workout recorded.

I'm training for a triathlon and this is just ridiculous.

I upgraded from my galaxy watch 3 to the 5 pro expecting improvements but it was a total waste of money.

I will try to sell this watch and take a loss and get a garmin. NON of the people that train with me using garmin have  any issue.

I love samsung phones but I will NEVER buy another samsung watch EVER

Not wanting to scroll through 50 pages of answers to see if this solution has beeen added. The solution is as follows:

check and update the software to 6.0 and turn off wrist detection in watch settings >security and privacy> wrist detection.

There is no "security and privacy" I have gone through every single place in settings on the watch app

Never mind, I didn't realize it was on the actual watch and not the wear app. I've turned off the wrist detection. We shall see if it stopped the annoying message of "seems like you've stopped, finish workout," which, by the way, should have the option to turn it off. It does affect how other things work. I think I have the galaxy 6 watch. Maybe samsung should just get rid of that stupid notification to begin with. We'll see if it works.

On your watch (not the wear app) go to settings and then security and privacy and then toggle off wrist detection.
