My two m360 R7 and four Shape M7 speakers have all started  restarting since Friday the 7th. Unfortunately, I have been unable to reset them. Total 6 speaker dead????

I think the issue may be related to the firmware. It's possible that Samsung has implemented a kill switch. Several of my speakers have been powered off  for over a month. I noticed this problem with one speaker and checked the rest. All six speakers are experiencing the same issue where they keep on restarting.

Final Edit/Alternative Answer (If you want some apps to work):

Turns out it's boot looping because the iheart radio and deezer api is no longer working correctly with our speakers.

If you want to have your speakers connect to Spotify/Radio/Pandora ect.

You need to block these addresses:

  1. connect.deezer.com
  2. api.iheart.com
  3. api2.iheart.com

I blocked these from the router and now I'm able to use Spotify connect with my speakers.

Alternatively,  You can entirely block the speakers from connecting to the internet as suggested in the above answer. However, You will not be able to connect to online apps like spotify.

Hey there, I have been having the same issue with my speakers (M7). I have managed to do a factory reset but doing so has bricked my speakers completely.

--

Edit: After resetting them and waiting for some time, They seem like they are turning back on again, However, They are still power-cycling.
--
Edit2: After doing a reset and disconnecting the network connection, I can connect to them via bluetooth.

--

Edit3: I can use my M7 normally if i
1) Disconnect my network cable from the router to the ISP.
2) Turn on the M7
3) After a short time, Reconnect the network cable.

It seems like the speaker needs to connect to a Samsung asset, But if it cant reach it (Because the router is turned on, but there is no internet access), It will allow you to use the speaker.

This is what I found, if speakers are connected to the network (wired or wireless) then they do not work. They keep on rebooting.

Thanks for the info!

Managed to get my R5's and Link Mate working again by blocking access to only "api.iheart.com"

It worked, thanks. Shame to Samsung though.

You need to block these addresses:

  1. connect.deezer.com
  2. api.iheart.com
  3. api2.iheart.com

Thanks a lot for finding the exact DNS names to block!

My system of 4 speakers is now up and running again

Startup after having unplugged the speakers does take some time (timeouts waiting for the blocked addresses, I guess - it might depend on how my router is actually blocking the addresses) but they don't boot loop and streaming from tune-in works.

The system may be old and unsupported, but scrapping perfectly fine speakers because of this would be such a shame (yes, I know, Bluetooth was still working, but that's a bad solution).

I also have 5 WAM-751 speakers, 3 of the 5 have also just started having this issue. Continual reboot, intermittent connection (couple of seconds) to samsung multi-room. Unable to check firmware or update with wifi or USB. Unsure wether the usb process is flawed or only not working because of continual rebooting.

Are the three speakers  that aren't functioning connected to the network, either wired or wirelessly? On the other hand, are the two speakers  that are working also connected to the network, either wired or wirelessly? My guess is  that the two working devices are only being used in Bluetooth mode as standalone devices.

I was able to successfully factory reset the speakers but I observed that when I use them individually via Bluetooth, each speaker works perfectly fine. However, when I connect them to the Wi-Fi network using multiroom apps, the speakers go into a restarting loop.

Something in the firmware is causing this restating loop. Either Samsung did this intentionally or a glitch in the firmware not sure but for now I have six speakers and the average cost of each speaker is around $400 so my $2400 has gone down the drain.

@ Samsung please release a firmware update or patch.

Same issue here. Started this morning 7/9/23. My HW-K950 atmos soundbar just started doing a reboot loop. I cannot even do a reset. And no way to disconnect from wifi to stop it without shutting down my whole home internet. This is crazy! Samsung hasn't even supported this model for years but somehow they've managed to send a signal to kill it?! Sure hope they get these items fixed quickly!
