Same thing for me as well. Attempted a hard reset that didn't work and now I'm concerned after reading all these posts that the reset severed my wifi connection and the update won't get downloaded. I sure hope Samsung has a plan in place if that's the case. It would also be nice to get an official response from Samsung outlining the problem and the solution they intend to implement.

I also woke up to this issue!!! Glad to know it's not something did. I've been troubleshooting all morning but stopping now. Adding myself here so Samsung sees the scope of the issue and hopefully pushes a fix soon! Weekend in quarantine is NOT the time for this to be happening!!!

Mine is doing the same thing in Houston TX .. I hope Samsung fixes this. i went crazy looking at my cables.  Nothing is working

I am having the same issue.  It just makes a whirring sound with the navigation menu flashing on an off.  Spoke with Samsung yesterday and they said it should hopefully fix after an update in the next 3-4 days.  It's a bummer.  We really enjoy the player and surround sound.

But, how will we update the unit if it doesn't start?? The internet connection stablishes a copuple of seconds after the unit starts

I have the same issue as of the morning of 06/18/20 as well.

 To those worried about not being able to use wifi to download an update to fix the issues, perhaps your router or modem is nearby, or you can temporairly move yor home theater and connect to the internet using the ethernet port in the back of the player....just an idea.

I am having the same issue. The player just keeps trying to read disc over and over.  Sound like the firmware or and update gone wrong. Has anyone contacted samsung about this?

Just registered. I have the same issue. Looks like Samsung pushed update which made issue. 

Anyone know how to update software in some service mode? I got info that is possibile via setings only
