Me too. My BD-JM56C/ZA blueray player is continually doing a hard reset
and continually rebooting over and over again. What this thread calls
"cycling on/off" When in this endless loop mode, both power off and eject
"hard" buttons on the console have no effect. The remote buttons have
no effect. As if the player detects code corruption during the boot
process and just starts all over again. The reboot happens so early in
the boot process, I can't imagine the player has gotten to the point where
it is trying to connect to the WIFI network. In my case, the blueray
player "home" screen renders for about 3 seconds, then HDMI signal is
lost and it self-reboots and the cycle starts over again. In my case,
there is no disc in the player. This problem started 6/19/2020 in USA
upon turning the player on for the first time in a few days.

I have tried these, all to no avail:
1. cycle power at the power cord (unplug, wait & plug back in)
2. hold down power hard button continually when first plugging in at power cord
3. hold down eject hard button continually when first plugging in
4. During this continual reboot, hold down continually both the power and eject hard buttons.

There appears to be no way to gain control of the player. It appears the
player is "bricked." Samsung, I'm looking for you to make we users whole.

Ugh, this precisely matches what I just had happen with my BD-J5700.

There is no disc inside, and nothing stays "up" long enough to make any sense of anything.

Correction: my player on the back says model code BD-JM57C/ZA.

On the back is says "MFD: 2016:08"

I have two of them and both starting doing this yesterday. Both were locked, so I unlocked them and they are still cycling, sounds like the disc is trying to load when there's not one in there. No idea why they got locked, we have no kids in the house. Starting to look like a cyber attack

I just got a new Flat Screen a couple months ago and I bet I've watched about 30 movies on it, so 250 bucks for the player, that comes out to around $8.33 per movie, not counting tax! I loved mu BD-J5900 3D player too, pisses me off, oh I paid an extra 40 bucks to be region free. Factor that in too!

I have a BD-jm51 - very lightly used mostly for netflix and amazon videos.  It worked fine on Saturday June 20,2020 .  Sunday June 21, noticed it doing the same exact thing, cycling on and off, can not interupt it to look at anything.   Tried everything recommened in the discusion group - no help.

Holding ejection - button no disc - no help

holding eject on remote  and put disc in - no help

With this happening to so many  people and across the whole world, Samsung better  step up or us users need to get a class action lawsuit started!!
