Home TheaterMine does exactly the same too-it got stuck last Thursday whilst playing a dvd. It wouldn't open at first but eventually i managed to get the dvd out. Since then I've had it unplugged- very frustrating as the press and hold power button didn't work... I wish Samsung would sort this out or at least look into it- I'm close to throwing it away... maybe that's the ploy?

Home TheaterHey there. I thought it was just me. Yesterday, when I went to use my blu-ray player, the power would cycle on the photos gallery would select itself then instantly shut off and restart and do the same thing over and over again. Do you know if there will be a fix in the next few days? I went out to buy an inferior replacement machine thinking mine was doomed. Will there be a fix in the next few days?

Home TheaterI have the same model, it was working a few hours ago. I came home, turned it on and now it keeps turning on and shutting off, none of the remote buttons work, nor do the buttons on the bluray player itself.

Home TheaterHi,
I have the same problem with my Bluray Model HT-J5550K. I'm from Vietnam. Let me know how to fix it. I've call Sámung Vietnam for help, but the problem were not solved, they advice me to replace mainboard.

Home TheaterI reluctantly have to join the ranks of the Blu-ray player power cycling whenever plugged in gang. I have 2 BD-J5700's, and all of a sudden, they are both doing the same thing!!!! I have been looking at these posts, and decided to join because I fear you may not be aware of the magnitude of the situation. Probably, just as many if not MORE folks are suffering the problem as are reporting it.
No amount of unplugging or holding down the eject button have any effect - and I how have to UNPLUG the unit, because it hijacks the TV whenever it cycles and resets the input to DVD. Nasty!! Please devote some serious effort to the remediation of this problem.
