Home TheaterHappening to me, as well. About an hour ago, my power went out - no big deal, it came on after a minute. However, the DVD player (BD-JM57C) is stuck in a boot-loop now, and prior to checking online for solutions, I wanted to make sure it wasn't a problem caused by the power outage. I unplugged the player, waited a few minutes, plugged it back in, repeated it multiple times, each failing to correct the issue. I thought it was odd, so I went online to see if anyone else had this problem. From the looks of this forum thread, it appears that many other people have this same problem - and that it's most likely not caused by the power outage I had.
Do we know what it's caused by yet? Or any possible solutions?

Home TheaterSame problem here with my J5500W. This is over 5 years old and has never had a problem until Wednesday when I couldn't get audio. After power on the drive just clicks and won't detect a disc. My TV would not show any video but if I hook up a monitor the player's menu will come up then within a second or two go away and reboot and I see the Samsung logo and it just keeps repeating that sequence.
Samsung has apparently bricked us with a bad update. I don't recall if I had auto updates on or not but I must have.
How are you going to fix this Samsung?? I will never own another Samsung product if you don't make this right.

Home TheaterAnother one bites the dust. A Samsung BD-J5500 in perfect working order, happily streaming Amazon Prime Video and playing discs until 06/18.
Now it only chatters to itself in an infinite power on/off loop.
If Samsung don't get this sorted quickly I will have to cancel my Amazon subscription for sure. And, even though the unit is out of warranty, surely Samsung owe it to their loyal customers to put things right so this issue doesn't turn into a PR disaster.

Home TheaterMy BD-JM57 Blue Ray player is doing the same cycle on and off sequence as well. And I agree with others, it is impossible for Samsung to send a download since the system doesn't run long enough to even cycle the Internet to connect.
Disappointed to say the least.

Home TheaterAn update via USB is our only hope probably. The only other option will be to take it in for service somewhere.

Home TheaterSame issue with model HT-J4500. Was working fine last night, then this morning it started cycling. Samsung could at least put out a public statement about the issue.

Home TheaterMy Samsung BD-J5100ZA crapped out Thursday night when I turned it on. Same symptoms as everyone else has posted.
It worked fine Wednesday evening.
