Since the update, the soundbar is unresponsive and can't be reset.

 

Seems like quite a few people with the issue

I have the same issue.
Came home to a non-responding soundbar.

Reset with plus-minus buttons does not work.

Turning the soundbar on/off with remote works.
Display only shows eARC as source.

USB update does not work. Tried freshly formated USB stick with NTFS and FAT32. but no luck.

same thing itā€™s happening to me too. based in Spain, last night watching a movie everything reset and after only appears tv earc on display, also it appears offline in smartthings and canā€™t do nothing

Same problem here, Q800D - in sweden

Displays "TV EARC" over and over again. Cannot reset. nNothing works

On reddit someone said that Samsung told him to send the sound bar in for repairs because they have to replace the mainboard.

Go try this suggestion in the first reply to the thread below to force update the separate speakers and subwoofer. I'm not saying its a fix but it seems to have helped some people. Mine updated like this but it seemed to be working after the main unit showed the 1020 update before I did this, but my separates all updated when I used this method to force them so it might help.

Its mad you can do this and Samsung have not said so in the manual. Upvote his comment please to reach more people:

Thank you for sharing this with the people here.  I'm wondering if anyone here can try it and see if they can get it to work.  (I turned off auto-update to prevent this issue from occurring and waiting to see if Samsung is going to officially announce a fix to this before turning it back on).

Why is Samsung not responding to this issue? Everyone who has automatic firmware updates enabled is facing this problem. It cannot be solved without sending everything back. Such poor service from Samsung. Truly disappointing

Not everyone. My Q990D seems to have updated fine. It does seem to be a MASSIVELY widespread issue though. Just take a look at this subreddit:

Both Q995D soundbar and LS60D music frame don't work today, whereas yesterday they were fine. Seems like all recent Samsung audio devices are affected.

i removed from smart things to re-add and it canā€™t find now
