LED and OLED TVsI just Got a DU7200FX smart tv. I am Connecting it to a Direct TV streaming box (android tv). The box supports HDR video enhancement. When I look at the menus in settings, HDR is grayed out. Is there any way to turn it on so that I can use HDR. The picture is pretty good without it, but any enhancement would help.

LED and OLED TVsHi there, Thanks so much for asking about this. I'm providing a link below that has detailed information on why certain menu options might be grayed out. Please let us know if this helps.

LED and OLED TVsI understand that HDR is grayed out because it’s not available but I don’t understand why it’s not available? Why on earth would you make a tv without HDR and not say upfront before someone buys it that it’s not available. Fortunately the picture is really good but it’s annoying that every time I put on a 4k channel, I get A message from the Osprey cable box saying that the picture would be better if HDR were turned on.

LED and OLED TVsI see how this can be frustrating from the model provided it does support HDR the issue will come down to how the TV is connected to the streaming device. As not all HDMI cables can support HDR. I would recommend making sure you are using the proper cable that does support it, It needs to be HDMI 2.0 or higher to work. Also, I would recommend making sure that HDR is working on apps directly from the TV. Like Netflix or any other streaming app.

LED and OLED TVsI got A new cable just to be sure. When I use My Samsung remote an go home and settings, it says HDR is not available on my tv. When I go into Netflix on the Samsung I do not see any reference to hdr so I don’t know if it’s on or off. Is there a software update available for this
