LED and OLED TVsMy mom has 2 Samsung TVs both paired with Yamaha ATS-1060 Soundbars. Both worked perfectly historically and this morning. My mom accidentally unplugged the HDMI cord on one of the soundbars. When we plugged it back in, it no longer had sound. In trying to troubleshoot, we moved the soundbars around the 2 different TVs. Now both have the same issues on both TVs. I assuming my deceased dad had adjusted the settings to make them work, but unplugging the hdmi reset it. We have no clue what settings would make this work. Or maybe the CEC needs to be reset?
The Samsung Anynet seems to be "working". If I turn on the TV, it turns on the sound bar. Also the volume button shows the correct icon on the TV and the bar lights up correctly. The TV shows it is sending sound to the bar. If I change the sound from the bar to the TV speaker, the TV speaker works, so we know there is sound somewhere. We also tried connecting the bar via an optical cable but had the same issue.
The TV says it's sending Bitstream. I changed to PCM, but that didn't help.
I tried turning cec off and on, but that didn't seem to do anything. Maybe there is a certain order that needs to be done to work?
Any suggestions?

LED and OLED TVsHi There and welcome to the community! The steps provided by @JBTechfanatic are exactly what you need to get the sound bars up and running. I double checked and tested them on my end. If you are still having trouble with the sound bars afterwards, please don't hesitate to reach out via this thread or a private message.

LED and OLED TVsThanks to everyone. I found the issue. We plugged the hdmi into the speaker using the "in" hdmi connection. I failed to notice that the output hdmi on the speaker was labeled "out/arc". Connecting to the out hdmi makes it work. For others with this issue, the TV will change the input source to the speaker. Simply change the source back to cable/satellite/etc.
