QLED and The Frame TVs

Frame 85 connected to Denon x3800 AVR.

With output of Denon connected to FrameHDMI 3,  upon powering on Denon, my six month old Frame 85 fails to properly sync video from any Denon input  (TiVo / Chromecast / Apple TV).. I see a couple of snowy attempts to sync video then get the blue screen saying to check Source.

As a workaround, I can bring up the Denon Settings UI (1920x1080/60p) which the Frame will sync properly, then dismiss it and return to the AVR output (720x480/60p Input Signal Plus) and it will now sync properly.

Tried a bunch of different HDMI cables, endless settings options in Denon with respect to up scaling, HMDI output, etc. but it always ends up being this same behavior — basically the Frame seems unable to sync 720x480/60p until it has first been synced with 1920x1089/60p

Do I have a defective One box?

I will reply with a solution to my issue in case it helps someone else going forward. Because my Denon x3800 is connected to two output sources, the Frame and a projector, the solution was an EDID emulator between the Denon and Frame. This helps the AVR remember the correct max resolution of two different output devices when they switch off and on.

The Frame is still very poor in quickly syncing to various input resolutions compared to other TVs but an EDID will solve the blacj screen and inability to sync at all.
