No Longer Seamlessly Displaying Art Mode with Apple TV 4K

In the last few weeks, Samsung updated the OS to the Frame TV and a function that I regularly used is no longer available. I'm writing in hope that someone can suggest a workaround (or if Samsung engineers read this, to bring the function back).

I have an Apple TV 4K media streamer for my Frame 55" 2022 TV. I'm assuming that other media streamers such as Chromecast, Roku, etc. would have a similar behavior that I am getting now post-OS update.

Prior to the update, I would be watching TV using the Apple TV 4K steamer, conclude for the evening, power off the streamer with the Siri remote, and the Frame would instantly go into the Art Mode and display artwork for 30 minutes (my settings) before the Frame would go to sleep. Post upgrade, I power off the streamer (Apple tells me the streamer goes to sleep, not powering off), but instead of the Frame displaying artwork, it is searching for a media source:

My only recourse now is to use the Samsung remote and manually navigate to the Art Mode and select the artwork, a multi-step process.

Is anyone else who is using a streamer experiencing this, and do you have a workaround?

This happens to me at least 5 times a day since the update.

I don't have a frame in front of me, but is there a no signal turn off feature in the Samsung menu?  Maybe under the cec settings or in one of the bottom tabs on the classic menu?

We, of course, are having the same issues.  First issue was "can't turn off art", and then soon after we can't turn the tv off at all....3 tvs in particular in the past couple weeks.

same issue there are no fixes.. spent hours. the reason i know its broken.. is because when you reset both APPLE TV and even reset the tv – it works ONCE then never again. Unreal this feels like a class action when your TVS sole purpose is to do this feature.

Can confirm, power cycling devices only works correctly once and then never works again.

If they don’t fix this ASAP I will gladly join any class action suit. This change has made this a piece of  TV that was way too expensive. Literally the only reason I got this TV was so it would become art when it turned off, and it’s supposed to NOT look like a TV. Now literally when it turns off it’s an obnoxious TV that requires manual intervention. 

Come on Samsung, how tone deaf can you be to your users?!?!

If you have an Apple TV try the workaround i posted.  Update. This morning the TV was shutdown. Thats also what happens as I mentioned on my work around. On its own in Art Mode it will just turn off the TV.

Same exact issue mentioned as you all mentioned. Was working fine then one day it just stopped going into art mode. Tried all the fixes here and nothing. Paid the premium price for this tv (knowing I could get better picture quality for the money) ONLY for the art mode. And now that doesn’t even work properly. Cmon Samsung…

I honestly wanted to upgrade to the 65” version from my 55” but since it’s useless I won’t be doing that. Way to drop the ball on your one good feature Samsung.

Man, oh man...so frustrating. The same exact issue on my Frame. Tried following Russel's advice with no luck. Resetting TV (even blocked communication with Samsung) automatically re-installed with 1503 driver.

Same issues happening for me. The Frame + Apple TV worked great a few months ago. Then something happened, maybe a software update on the TV? And now when I power off my AppleTV, the frame art doesn’t display and my Tv tells me to select a source
