QLED and The Frame TVs

In the last few weeks, Samsung updated the OS to the Frame TV and a function that I regularly used is no longer available. I'm writing in hope that someone can suggest a workaround (or if Samsung engineers read this, to bring the function back).

I have an Apple TV 4K media streamer for my Frame 55" 2022 TV. I'm assuming that other media streamers such as Chromecast, Roku, etc. would have a similar behavior that I am getting now post-OS update.

Prior to the update, I would be watching TV using the Apple TV 4K steamer, conclude for the evening, power off the streamer with the Siri remote, and the Frame would instantly go into the Art Mode and display artwork for 30 minutes (my settings) before the Frame would go to sleep. Post upgrade, I power off the streamer (Apple tells me the streamer goes to sleep, not powering off), but instead of the Frame displaying artwork, it is searching for a media source:

My only recourse now is to use the Samsung remote and manually navigate to the Art Mode and select the artwork, a multi-step process.

Is anyone else who is using a streamer experiencing this, and do you have a workaround?

Thanks,
David

Yeah, I can see how that would be an issue--- Samsung has definitely still got to fix something on their end, the solution posted will only work for the use case of Apple TVs. That said, if you were shopping for new external speakers that would work with your Apple TV without the pesky Samsung issue, I can attest that I've got a pair of Apple HomePods working fine with this paired wirelessly to my Apple TV. So that's an option.

Thanks for pointing that out - I use a pair of Sonos One  speakers  that happen to work well with the AppleTV4K and Samsung Frame TV so I did not come across the problem of using soundbars etc.

Yea same setup here. Was working great.

Samsung's forums can't even work right, my username should be "SamsungIsMyEnemy" yet they've lopped off the Samsung bit 🤬

OH and Samsung! THE LEAST YOU CAN DO, because you seem not good enough to solve it, AT LEAST let us downgrade our TVs to the older version!

Oh…thanks Samsung…I should have thought of pairing my Apple Remote.  More of the same.  No real solution. This is becoming comical.

This TV is being featured as an Amazon prime deal this week. I took the opportunity today to leave a bad Amazon review for this TV based on Samsung‘s inability to fix this problem, and I recommend that you do the same. People should not be buying this TV because it is completely over priced given these problems.
