thats how they get u. they tell u their phones last yrs but the service they provide depends on the phone u have. <edit> it really doesn't matter what type of Samsung phone u got, they run in the same updates available in all their phones. my note 8 works the same as my note 10+

it says the Galaxy S8 is in the 8.0 beta so it should be able to work on your phone soon if not already

turn on Unknown sources and find the app online and sideload it. It works I'm on a low budget A10e and it runs perfectly fine

go to settings then About Phone then Software Version . find your build number and start clicking on it repeatedly until you unlock Developers Mode. You will now find it as an option at the bottom of your settings list.
