Galaxy Note PhonesSimply hold a fine needle and try opening the pores of speaker grill delicately. Then clear it with a dry toothbrush. It worked for me. You may need a lense to zoom in š.

Galaxy Note Phonesi did everything SamsungJace suggested. Restarted it afterwards. Still sounded muffled. Process of elimination. Took the protective case off. Then took the shatter proof glass cover off. There aren't ear holes made into the glass covers. So you either have to set it lower or do away with it entirely.

This worked like a charm! I was afraid of losing contacts and such so i backed up my phone first to my7 computer. but it didnt cause any loss of contacts or call history
