How do I stop apps from running in the background

Go to Settings > Apps, select the app, and tap Force stop. To turn off background activity for the app, tap App battery usage and toggle off Allow background usage.

Some apps do work in background some that shouldn't if you know the app can limit its use in the app settings goto app and disable but be carefully it's not a needed app
