Galaxy S21they want to push cloud storage monthly subscription . terrible idea. I rather have my data in a local storage (encrypted SD card) than in a cloud

Galaxy S21yeah , always have been a good thing to have an encrypted sd card , but If my source is correct all manufacturers will soon rather than later remove it , due to the speed not there , and the space taken by the sd card could be used for something hopefully better

Galaxy S21The little space was great. You have to put in a sim card anyway so its another little slot. Samsung stay original and stop being like everyone else. That's why people never left because you catered to the people now you're catering to the competition. You should give a choice to see what people want instead of making them buy what they don't want.

Galaxy S21you have a point , they try to force sell cloud , but what happens if your 512 gb or 1tb sd card get corrupted and you lose your files , ? cloud is replicated so even if the server goes down still a copy of it , so it is harder to lose your stuff , on the other hand , still I don't like the idea of having to pay monthly or yearly for cloud , at some point they're going to come out with cloud built in , like the Robin phone

Galaxy S21I'm devastated by this too and Samsung Pay is my lifeline. Leave well enough alone. I never complained until now. I was ordering a new Ultra but no thanks. Keeping my S20 Ultra and getting a larger memory card.

Galaxy S21

I am hoping for the same thing that happened with the S6 happens again. I burn thru alot of storage taking videos of my kids in club soccer games. We have 3 games in day sometimes and I don't have time to go home and upload to the cloud. I don't want to burn thru my "unlimited" data and battery too.
I understand that and I feel I'm in a good position as I'm happy with what I have and would be happy with a sd card slot 🙂
I empathise with you as I shoot my very active grandaughters (2x) games, hockey, field hockey and softball with my DSLR and I end up with tons of pics and usually import them all into lightroom for culling and post processing.
What I use on my phone is a product called Monument. (improved Monument 2 now on Indiegogo) which is a personal photo cloud accessable from anywhere. As I snap photo's they are automatically backed to my Monument disk at home via either wireless or wifi. There is no monthly fee.
