Galaxy S21We understand the frustrations of the zoom function causing the white screen in the camera. As there are several steps to troubleshoot the concern, we will include them all here.
1. Clear the app cache. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00077611/
Restart the phone after clearing the app cache, before testing the app.
2. Reset Camera Settings
1. Open the camera application
2. Tap Settings which is the gear in the top right or left corner.
3. Tap General.
4. Select Reset and Yes.
3. Test the Camera in Safe Mode. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/
4. Clear the cache partition and repair the apps in Recovery Mode.
To get to recovery mode:
- Turn off phone
- Once off, hold down volume up and power buttons simultaneously
- When Samsung logo appears, release power button BUT KEEP HOLDING VOLUME UP until the recovery menu appears
- Use volume buttons to navigate down to clear cache (NOT CLEAR DATA/ FACTORY RESET)
- Use power button to select.
- Run the repair apps option and your device will restart.
5. Back up the data and factory reset the phone. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/
We recommend doing a clean install of the apps, instead of restoring from a backup.
If the zoom function continues to produce a white screen, we recommend having the phone evaluated by an authorized service center. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by calling customer support at 1-800-726-7864.

Galaxy S21Thank you for reaching out. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when our camera doesn't function per expectation. I would recommend resetting the camera settings.
Give these steps a try:
1. Open the camera application
2. Tap Settings which is the gear in the top right or left corner.
3. Tap General.
4. Select Reset and Yes.
This Tap option will reset only the settings for the camera application. It will not impact the settings for the Galaxy Camera operating system and it will not remove any of your personal information from the camera.

Galaxy S21I bought the phone last week. Every time I open the camera there is a white screen. Even after I change resolution.
Every time I open the camera through apps such as Facebook WhatsApp the camera opens with a white screen.
Is there an error in the camera or settings?

Galaxy S21I can see how frustrating this issue can be. I would recommend you make sure your phone is up to date on its software. I also recommend that you try placing your phone in safe mode to see if the issue persists. Here are the steps to place your phone in safe mode.
Safe mode allows you to turn on the device with third-party apps disabled. Then you can easily uninstall apps that may be causing a conflict or software problem.
- Turn the device off.
- Press and hold the Side key past the model name screen appearing on the screen.
- When SAMSUNG appears on the screen, release the Side key.
- Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key.
- Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
- When Safe mode appears in the bottom left corner of the screen, release the Volume down key.
- While in Safe mode, you can now uninstall apps that are causing a problem.
Turn off safe mode
- Press and hold the Side key and Volume down key.
- Tap Restart > Restart.
- The device will restart in standard mode and you can resume normal use.
