I recently got a new phone. I factory reset my old phone and sent it back to insurance. This was about a week ago. Today I noticed, I am still logged into my Google account from my old device. I signed out, but it's still showing up on my Google Playstore. It's also a duplicate of my apps from my old phone. I am worried this is taking up space on my new phone/account but I have no idea how to delete the phone account connected to my old phone. Can anyone help me? Thank you.

@LadyT429 It's not taking any space on your new phone.

Also you can remove the on your Google account.

  1. Go to your Google Account.
  2. On the left navigation panel, select Security .
  3. On the Your devices panel, select Manage all devices.

That's good to know it's not taking up any space on my new phone. I did remove the Google account but it's bringing up old phone. That's my dilemma.

I did already sign out and factory reset my old phone before sending it back to the insurance that's why I'm confused why it's still showing up. I can check my Samsung account. Thank you.

If you mean it shows in the Play store as a device available to download to, you used to be able to hide it from view, but I think it can only be done on the website, not the app, as I can't find the setting now. I will look when I get to my computer.

Yes, that's what I mean. I did check my computer to hide from view but I didn't see. Maybe I am looking in the wrong area.

On a computer, go to the Play store (preferably in Chrome), click on your initial or avatar and select library and devices. You will see a list of the devices that Google thinks you have with a column for "show in menus", with a check box. Uncheck any device you do not want to see in the menu. You will stop seeing it in the menu for installation, but it may still appear in the list until it decides it's been hidden long enough that you no longer have the device (or that may just have been because there was a glitch in the system when I did that last year).

Yeah, it's kind of hidden. Had to work to find it the first time.  Glad it helped.  Would you please mark the response as your solution?  Thanks.
