These are the worst preorder trade-in deals ever. How dare Samsung try forcing us to sign contracts for 36 months with carriers to get the best deals. Gen Mill and Gen Z hate contracts. People need to boycott till they drop the prices for unlocked trade. For the previous s22 and fold and flip 4 models. CLEARLY SOME PEOPLE ARE BRAINWASHED STILL GETTING THEM. Sadly looking for clout as well. How pathetic.

Thanksgiving sales usually offer better trade-in than these deals. Hopefully they will offer over 600 for S22 then.

Do you think it's work pre ordering the s23ultra at full price or wait a month and hope the s22 ultra drops (cos they are currently same price with preorder)

It is really your call. I am not buying the s23 series because the trade in value sucks and so does resale. Makes no sense to sell a year old phone for 1/3 of what I paid for it a year ago. S22 plus still works great.

If you have an older Samsung phone or are having problems and need a new phone now then the s23 is a great albeit expensive choice. If you can get it through a carrier or Google Fi it might be worth it.

I wouldn't buy an S22U unless heavily discounted because it's value is dropping fast. However if you could get a used one in mint condition for cheap it might be a great choice.

Unless Samsung sells a new S22U for $800 or less I would pass. At $800 it would be a pretty good deal.

The flip4 isn't even 6 months old yet and trade in value is $350? Sound ridiculous compared to when flip3 upgrading to flip4 trade in value was $900+ extras deals.

I've upgraded to the current S2*U phone every year for the past three years for around $200, now they want $700.  Hard pass.  I expect their pre-order sales are going to be abysmal, they'll eventually have to provide a better deal.  I'll wait until then, or just keep my S22U until a better option comes along.

I was so excited to upgrade, like I've done for the last three years but the values are so bad I'll keep my s22 for now(maybe Best Buy will do their trade in value deals in a few months)?
