Whatsapp chat transfer issue

Anyone else struggling to transfer whatsaop chats from s24 ultra to s25 ultra?? It's ridiculous

Yes!!!!!!!! It was completely wiped out. Have to start over on WhatsApp. Good thing I didn't use it often. That was the only app that wouldn't transfer.

IME on the old phone you must go into WhatsApp -> Settings -> Chats and do a Chat backup. Then when you log into WhatsApp on the new phone it will grab that backup and restore your messages.

Its not working on my nes samsung s25. tried all the way. aftyer completion 99% its stop and asked something happened try again(Restore).

Same issues here with both backup & restore and chats transfer.

It's simple temporary solution:

1. When it stuck at 99% restore, immediately restart the S25 Ultra. And you will have all your previous chats from the backups. Now what you have to do is manually copy your Media from your old phone (step 2)

2. The easiest way to copy your Media files is to use a USB drive. Use My files app on yourold device and copy rhe following:

Internal Storage/Android/media/com.whatsapp/WhatsApp/Media

Copy that folder from your old phone to your USB drive and then use it replace the S25 Ultra's Internal Storage/Android/media/com.whatsapp/WhatsApp/Media folder.

Restart your phone.

Probably because it has to transfer them all to China to make sure you are not speaking ill of their great leader before transferring back to you.
