Galaxy WatchHello everyone,
I loved my Watch6 until the new OS update in December 2024. Before that whenever the watch had sleep mode active, no green/red sensors would turn on during the night. I saw in other forums that it was a feature announced by Samsung, where the watch would only use invisible infrared light to monitor your sleep during the night.
After the update in December 2024, every couple minutes the watch start to light up its green light sensor even with Sleep Mode active.
I reached out to Samsung support but I was informed that this is normal, which is not true since it never happened before.
I would like to know if anyone else is experiencing this since or if there is a fix for that.
I already tried to factory reset the device, update to this January's patch as well as turn off all possible sensors but the green light still comes up ever now and then during the night in Sleep mode.
Thanks!

Galaxy WatchWhile on sleep mode I mainly see the green light.
But as I mentioned, while on sleep mode before the update, the green light would never light up and now it lights up every now and then even if I'm not moving.
If this was normal I would just understand and simply not use the watch6 during sleep, but what bothers me is that only after the update in December this started to be an issue during sleep mode.

Galaxy WatchIf you are seeing the green light, the watch may have loosened.

Galaxy Watch@thiagotho Have you tried turning off the AGES option in Samsung Health?

Galaxy WatchI think this is not an option on Watch6.
If I search the settings I see the text about AGES index, but when I click on it it brings me to the settings where there is no AGES settings to be found.
But as I mentioned, I have all sleep and everything else either set to manual or deactivated.
The only option that is on, the to detect if I'm doing an activity.

Galaxy Watch@thiagotho Ah, I think that you are correct. I thought it was coming to it in the update at the end of the year but it may be tied to the advanced sensors on the 7 and ultra.

Galaxy WatchAlso have the same issue since the update. Was googling about this issue and found this post. It is really annoying as the green light is bright and, if you are a light sleeper like I am, it disrupts your sleep. I cannot believe Samsung have implemented this on their new update without the facility to turn it off ! If you do find a solution, then please let me know.

Galaxy WatchYou are not wrong. It is happening to my watch as well after the update. The light wakes me up constantly during the night now and unfortunately my sleep score has gone downhill. I can't believe that they think this is an improvement
