Solved: New Google Maps Update for LTE use - Samsung Community

Google has released their update to Google Maps which allows for stand alone operation on LTE watches. While I haven't actually used it for navigation, I did test it with my phone off and it worked.

The version number is 11.59.0101.W

If you don't have your watch set to auto update you'll have to open the Play Store from your watch and update Google Maps.
