Same here with a bd-jm57. I've got 2 of these and they both started doing it last night. Contacted customer service. They just referred me to another number, for an outside business, that was closed.

Bdj5700 doing same thing 6/17/2020.  Tech support told me my player was old and probably needed to be serviced for an electrical problem.  I am convinced they did something or got hacked.  With all the different responses we are receiving I think they are scrambling.

I went to turn my player on this evening and had the same issue. So far only one of our two players is down. Had my other half take the disc out of our other one and shut it back off just in case.

I'm not crazy! We're having the exact same problem as everyone else since last night!
