Home TheaterFolks, this can't be a coincidence. I know Samsung pushes firmware updates to the machines every now and then (although I feel like we normally have to run those ourselves).
As posted elsewhere, I had this loop happen to not one, but two different machines, all within a span of a few hours. I borrowed my parents' machine to cover me until I could get a new streaming device, and it worked great for about 20 minutes. Then it fell into the same loop. It's how/why I found this whole thread. My parents had not used the player in at least a year, whereas I used mine every day. So it can't be a wear-and-tear issue.
Hope we can get answers soon... this is really weird!

Home TheaterIt started happening to me also this morning (BD-J57OO). I cant get my disk out since it keeps turning off/on, and not responding at all.

Home TheaterAdd my BD-J57OO into the list. Worked fine yesterday... went to use it today and in the reboot loop. I was using the latest firmware.

Home TheaterMy player also developed this issue when I turned it on this evening. I was able to hold down the eject button on the remote control to parly eject the disk. If you are fast, you can grab it before the drawer closes again.

Home TheaterBoth of my BD-JM57C Blu Ray players just went down with the same boot loop problem tonight!? We have nothing now!! This is a serious issue and I wonder if it was on purpose? I'm not going to invest in anymore Samsung products unless I see this resolved. It's obviously an issue with Samsung and they have destroyed my personal equipment remotely.

Home TheaterGlad to hear it isn't just ours! I won't smash it quite yet.
Model BD-J5100. Same issue of cycling on/off. Worked last night.
Fingers crossed for a fix!

Home TheaterYes, my HT-J5500W started acting up this afternoon with the same issue. I chatted with a customer technical support specialist who informed me that this was an issue Samsung was dealing with and sent me a link to this forum. Unfortunately, no solution. Keeping my fingers crossed

Home TheaterTwo BD-J5700s here. One rarely used. One used daily. Both got stuck in reboot cycle within 24 hrs of each other. The problem is definitely on their end.
