Home TheaterAdd my HT-J4500 to the list. Same exact symptoms. Boots disc drive, flashes home screen and selects "Photos" and then shuts down.

Home TheaterSame here with BD-J5700. I was ready to smash up this unit when I stumbled on this thread of similar complaints! I have already spent half day trying to trouble shoot this problem which you seemed to have deliberately caused. Or is this Samsung's way of telling all the customers to stop buying it's products? Very disappointing that you say this case is solved when it is not.

It's a no-brainer for anyone to try that the very first time. Of course it did not work becuase only you can fix this problem as I can see.

Home TheaterI've unplugged it for 12 hours, no difference.
Also held down the power, eject and both at the same time, no difference.
I'm not sure what you mean by error messages since the menu screen only shows up for a second before rebooting.

Home TheaterHello: I'm also experiencing this same issue - I contacted Samsung support via text-explained the same situation with my two blu-ray JM57C players beginning 4pm Thursday (June 18). Followed his direction/attempts to resolve (unplug wait, reconnect power; couldn't update or verify current firmware version). I referred him to this community forum and explained it's happening widely. He assured me Samsung support would resolve/ respond in 2 business days. Have not heard any follow-up and am continuing to wait for a firmware update ?

Home TheaterMy BD-JM59 started doing the same thing. Your engineers are welcome to buy back my unit so they can start diagnosing it. This is ridiculous how many different models all started having the problem at the same time. Clearly, there is a fatal flaw in the power module design. Smells like a warranty recall to me. I look forward to you posting an address where these units can be sent for warranty service.

Home TheaterHave you seen how big this problem is across these boards? It won't even factory reset. Looks like my next phone won't be a Samsung.
