Anyone found a way to eject the disc with this issue without going all Office Space baseball bat to it? There's a single screw on my J5100 but doesn't take the case off what removed. My kids just want to finish watching Harry Potter.

Hey if you still want to know how to safely "eject" a disc from the Blu-ray there may be one solution (link below).

note, you have to have the Bluray player unplugged and no power is necessary as far as I know...

 

Just make sure you follow this how-to and apply if your blu-ray has that groove.

If the J5100 is like my J5700, after you remove the screw there are tabs on the top rear corners.  Just push in on the tabs to release the top cover and it lifts off.  After that, I did not try to eject my tray, so hopefully the linked video above works for you.  I did not try that.

Press enect button on remote while unit is cycling on. Have to push several times and be ready to grab tray when it opens as it may try to close.

I was able to eject it by tapping the eject button the unit itself every second or so while it was booting. You have to be ready to grab the disc, because it doesn't stay open long.

Unplug it and plug it back in.. then immediately hit the eject button on the box itself.  I got mine to open this way.

This issue is not solved!.  Everyone keep posting here and on Facebook.  Disconnect and unplug your players and Home theater units so you don't destroy them.

Not getting any support from Samsung. Bluray BD-J5900 stuck in start up loop. crashed both tvs, have no access to Netflix, Amazon Prime or Bluray player. How am I going to get this resolved?
