Samsung Q990D unresponsive after 1020 firmware update

Since the update, the soundbar is unresponsive and can't be reset.

Seems like quite a few people with the issue

Yeah, I have the same exact issue. Roughly, the same soundbar age (less than 6 months). How is this acceptable for a firmware to be released that basically bricks the device?

What are our options to get it fixed?

Same here, Support is having me return the bar, sub, and both rears to their repair center. I contacted support thru chat, took about an hour and a half. Had me go through a bunch of stuff that did nothing, including taking the batteries out of the remote. ugh.

Haha man did this **bleep** last night. Had me even get another TV, get another HDMI cable, hold this button that button just wasn't doing anything.

Ain't no way I'm sending a three-week-old soundbar in for repair when it was working fine. They have to find a better way.

Returning the other speakers seems totally unnecessary. Wow. Personally, I'd refuse to send them anything other than the bar...maybe..but still plan to wait for a software fix before I do anything.

I came home to a non working soundbar. Seems like the same problem others are having. No reset or usb firmware has fixed the issue. I hope there is a fix soon.

I have this exact same problem that happened today. Worked just fine this morning.  Now it exhibits these exact symptoms.

I’m having the same issue. My bar forced me to update in the middle of me using it. Now I can’t change inputs, get any sound from it, can’t even reset the bar. SmartThings thinks it’s turned off, unplugging it didn’t help, there’s nothing I can do. Now I can’t use the soundbar I spent $1500 on or the PS5 I have passing through it to my tv.

Same issue Just Shows Tv eArc and does nothing. is shipping to the Samsung Service center the only option?
