Blue dot text message by contact

Does anybody know what the blue dot Is on the icon next to the person's name in the text message app? Only shows there. Only on select contacts.

Tirn off app icon badges in notification settings.

It means that person is also a Samsung user. Don't think there's a way to disable it.

Some samsung users from contacts don't have the blue dot next to the icon. My sister has the same phone as I do and her contact doesnt have it.

Open your text message app. Click the 3 dots in the upper right hand corner. Click advanced messages and turn it off. Itll take away the dot on contacts icon. Before turning it off. Itll notify of the benefits and cons of doing so.

So in my text messages bya person name is a lul blue dot.. what does that mean?

The little blue dot is an indicator for RCS features. These are an advance messaging service across android devices. Helps you share larger files. Can send photos and videos up to 100mb.
