Galaxy watch 4 Heart rate not reading properly

Hi, while I'm cycling,  heart rate reads 103 . My Garmin cycling computer  with heart chest strap reads 169. Why doesn't  watch read heart rate correctly.  I don't have the watch  in work out mode. Just have it on  Continue reading.

Unfortunately, this is the answer I received from Samsung as well. It only reads the heart rate at rest.

I would assume that to obtain an accurate heart rate reading during exercise you must select an exercise, otherwise, it may average your heart rate over time.

How you know the Watch is off, maybe the other one is off

Yes, 169 sounds high, but there are many unknowns; like age, fitness level, and exercise intensity.

Best thing he could do is talk to his doctor and have a stress test done with their equipment and wear the watch and compare the 2
