Not sure if anyone has noticed the elevation information presented by the watch 4 in samsung health. I just returned from a walk and it says I was at over 100' elevation. Even the bridge here is only 65' high! Attaching screen shot from samsung health and from my elevation app. Also going to compare to data from active2. Active2 also off but only about 20'.

Well, where you live, the average elevation is 20', so 100' is definitely off. I'll do some research... BTW, is your watch's GPS turned on?

I have both location and improve location accuracy turned on

I imagine elevation refers to feet above sea level.

My assumption as well, which is what makes it way off.

Your assumptions would be correct. Elevation relates to sea level (0 ft.).

Have you tried to manually calibrate it at a site with a posted known elevation?

@cwinkler To calibrate:

  1. On your watch, open the Compass app.
  2. Scroll up on the compass face.
  3. You will find a button to enable the altimeter and link it to a data source. You need to allow your location to be shared.

Ok. Went and did that so I'll see what difference it makes tomorrow. Never used the compass before
