I have a BD-J5700 and it was fine last night and now tonight it is stuck in a reboot loop. With all the people suddenly having this issue, it's definately not due to a defective unit but rather some sort of failed update. Samsung PLEASE FIX

Just adding myself to the list. Hope they figure out a fix. This is maddening!

My J5700 device is cycling on and off with my DVD inside. Cannot get the disk out. Cannot get software version.  Tried power off, holding buttons, all those suggestions - - NOTHING.

Is there a fix to it?

I have three Samsung Blu Ray BD-J5700 in the house. Living room, bedroom and wife's upstairs den area. Two of the three units have developed this on/off loop since yesterday, living room and bedroom. Went upstairs and the one there had a pop-up screen that said an update was available. Did the update and that unit works fine. Important point upstairs unit does NOT have automatic update on. Can't tell about the two units downstairs if they have the auto update selection ON, but if they do I would suggest an auto update might be the problem. Can't tell, the ONLY way to turn off either of the infected units is to pull the power plug out.

HELLO SAMSUNG! ARE YOU LISTENING?

Same problem with the same unit, around the same time frame. And I'm in Latin America.

OK, here's an update. Tried my wife's upstairs Samsung Blu Ray BD-J5700 that I said worked ok yesterday after the manual update. Well, today it has the SAME loop-de-loop problem as the others. I'm certain the problem is with the update itself.

So now I have THREE unusable Samsung Blu Ray players!

Hello Samsung! Are you there?

By the way, I'm in the Long Island NY area.
