Home TheaterI have a BD-J5700 with the same error. I'm posting here in the event updates are sent to people who've reported problems in this thread. More communication would be helpful...

Home TheaterIt's been about 5 days, and still no progress. I would like to use my HT-J5500W for the surround feature while it's connected with my other entertainment center devices. Now I'm wondering if my Samsung smart televisions are going to go out next!

Home TheaterSeems like a lot of people are having the same problem which started at the same time/day. My Blueray DVD player was working fine for years, then 2 days ago it is stuck in a loop of turning on and off. There is a dvd stuck in the player (which is not good because I borrowed the disc so hopefully I can get it back!) I tried unplugging the player for several different times but no luck. The power button and the open/close tray button will not work since it turns on/off too fast, everyone 3 seconds. This must be a software update that Samsung put out there without checking it worked properly. Not happy!!

Home TheaterThere is no fix yet!!! Samsung needs to replace these now...

Home TheaterWhat if enough of us were contact Sony, LG or other competitors for a trade in discount for the defective Samsung product(s) we have right now? Just a thought! A frustrated thought from not having a solution.

Home TheaterI have two BD-J5500E, one has this problem and the other seems immune for the moment (both are connected to internet).
